Sarah Palin - is she REAL?
If so, she's a Liberal's worst nightmare and the woman of my dreams!

I got an email from a friend of mine, pointing out the flaws in Sarah Palin and warning me of all the horrors of her past.
I don't think he's dead-set against her, but just passing along a juicy, intriguing email to friends.
I replied point by point and sent it back to him with my own special slanted opinion administered throughout.
Hey, somebody’s gotta lean to the Right to keep this ship from capsizing!

It never ceases to amaze me how resourceful the Liberal Left is.
Within HOURS of her VP announcement, this garbage is spinning around the globe through cyberspace.
I think the thing that frightens people the most is the crazy idea that Sarah Palin might actually be REAL.
The media instantly proclaims her to be lying and deceitful, while Michelle Obama is genuine and sincere....

I’m no fan of John McCain, but he hit a home run with his VP choice!
Maybe the Obama/Hillary/Edwards/ Joe "Bozo" Biden crew won’t win in November after all….

Anyhow, after I replied to him with my comments, I went back through this and clarified my points.
I did a little fact checking before posting it here, and found no errors in my assessment of her so far.
My comments are inserted in red.
Enjoy!

The author of this admits to being at odds with Palin, so saying this is a sleazy hit piece would not be an exaggeration.
She employs tactics that would make the National Enquirer tabloid proud. Use a few facts to make the story seem plausible, and then garnish it liberally with innuendo and hearsay. The reader is then expected to follow human nature and speculate from there, instead of doing a little home work to dispute that which is not anchored in reality.
I may not be able to disprove something, but why would I waste the efforts on some allegations that have no factual basis?
I simply challenge it as complete and utter B.S. - if there's any substance to her claims they will stand on their own merit.

I have no problem with the truth being out there, no matter how unpleasant. We can all make informed decisions that way.
I’m wary of the motivation behind this, same as any other anti-conservative rambling.
MoveOn.org, Air America and DailyKos types are eager for ANY dirt on ANYBODY who doesn’t support their far-flung lunatic Liberal bullsh!t.

Since this is bound to blaze around the world in the hands of Left-leaning types, I’ll add my $.02 in red before I pass it on to the Right.
I’ll admit I know little about Palin, but I like what I see so far. Compared to the other VP choice, Biden, it’s easy for me to like her.
I'm somewhere to the Right of Genghis Khan – to me, politics is a full-contact sport bordering on a bare-fisted brawl.
I make no apologies when the opposition cries….

Basically, Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton have only 2 things in common: their gender and their good looks.
Good looks? Hillary? Are you f-ing kidding me?
I’ll give you one – gender - and I’m not so sure about that.

Wait, I just saw a sign at a campaign rally on the news - attributing a quote to no less an expert on women than Gloria Steinem.
It says "The only thing Hillary and Sarah have in common is a chromosome."
Well there it is then, my point is made!
My thanks to the former Playboy Bunny, the greatest "progressive" activist FemiNazi of our time, and member of the of Democratic Socialists of America for helping me drive my point home. I could see where Palin might make her uncomfortable.

You have my permission to forward this to your friends/email contacts with my name and email address attached, but please do not post it on any websites, as there are too many kooks out there . . .
Thanks, Anne
Kooks indeed….
She is Anne Kilkenny, a Democrat city council member from Wasilla. That's right, a Democrat.
Partisan politician even at such a level as the city council of a small town. Keep this fact in mind as you read on.

 ABOUT SARAH PALIN
I am a resident of Wasilla, Alaska. I have known Sarah since 1992. Everyone here knows Sarah, so it is nothing special to say we are on a first-name basis. Our children have attended the same schools. Her father was my child’s favorite substitute teacher. I also am on a first name basis with her parents and mother-in-law. I attended more City Council meetings during her administration than about 99% of the residents of the city.

Really? 99%? As a council member, I would expect her to be at every meeting.
I'm sure she attended many, but more than 99% of the residents seems a stretch. Is there an attendence sheet we can confirm this with?

She is enormously popular; in every way she’s like the most popular girl in middle school. Even men who think she is a poor choice and won’t vote for her can’t quit smiling when talking about her because she is a “babe”.
Let’s look at this.
Clinton got elected by “soccer moms” and their newfound political awareness triggered by a candidate that they would “do” in a heartbeat. He was presented as the new JFK in a very deliberate attempt to woo conservative suburban moms, and it worked on many of them.
George Bush was an old man. Bob Dole was a Grumpy Old Man. The media seized on this, and Bill Clinton became a sex symbol.
Clinton appeared on MTV with their Rock The Vote campaign and was billed as young and hip – a rock star.
Same as Obama this time around.

If the worst they can come up with is that Sarah’s hot, I think we have a home run here.

It is astonishing and almost scary how well she can keep a secret.
She kept her most recent pregnancy a secret from her children and parents for seven months.
Sounds like catty gossip. I would hope that a woman can keep any aspect of her private life a "secret" as long as she desires.
The National Enquirer tabloid tactics I cautioned you about are clearly in use here.

She is “pro-life”. She recently gave birth to a Down’s syndrome baby. There is no cover-up involved here; Trig is her baby.
Yeah, knowing this very early she could have had an abortion - she chose not to. Is that a decision everybody should make?
No, but I commend her for sticking with her values and not compromising for the sake of convenience.
How many professional women, with pressure-cooker schedules and extensive travel, would have 5 children anyway?
How many of those women would choose to carry out a pregnancy, knowing the baby was profoundly disabled, to give birth to number 5 at age 44? If ever there was a defining example of Pro-Life, this is it.
Any Liberal would have quietly gotten an abortion, and nobody would have known.
Give me a woman with values any day....

She is energetic and hardworking.
She regularly worked out at the gym.
She is savvy. She doesn’t take positions; she just “puts things out there” and if they prove to be popular, then she takes credit.

I’m throwing a flag here. Simply a lie.
Her positions are well documented and clearly expressed on a number of things, this does not fare well outside the tabloid world.
Obama on the other hand, can only claim “change” as his ambition. A little vague - and a lot ominous.

Her husband works a union job on the North Slope for BP and is a champion snowmobile racer. Todd Palin’s kind of job is highly sought-after because of the schedule and high pay. He arranges his work schedule so he can fish for salmon in Bristol Bay for a month or so in summer, but by no stretch of the imagination is fishing their major source of income.
Sounds good to me. What’s the problem? The guy has a good job, should he apologize?
Is the climate so mild that fishing is done 365 days a year up there?
My family has been in the oil business since WWII, I can tell you that the most common work schedule up there isn't 9 to 5.
7 days on/7 days off or 14 days on/14 days off is the norm. Some are 28 days on/off.

Leaves a lot of spare time to fish and race snowmobiles, if you are so inclined.

Nor has her life-style ever been anything like that of native Alaskans.
You mean, like in an igloo on an ice flow?
How many “native” Alaskans are there? I know many people who’ve worked up there from the 48 states.

Sarah and her whole family are avid hunters.
Great! Not hard to be a hunter when you live up there. I’m jealous.

She’s smart. Her experience is as mayor of a city with a population of about 5,000 (at the time), and less than 2 years as governor of a state with about 670,000 residents.
During her mayoral administration most of the actual work of running this small city was turned over to an administrator.

Newsflash – this is the norm in many cities.

She had been pushed to hire this administrator by party power-brokers after she had gotten herself into some trouble over precipitous firings which had given rise to a recall campaign.
Well, let’s hear the facts.
She was never recalled, so there was nothing of note to support it.
You can rest assured there are a couple million Lefty internet sleuths on the case already…

Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a “fiscal conservative”.
During her 6 years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over 33%.

Is this a fact, or a twisted statistic?

During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the City increased by 38%.
This was during a period of low inflation (1996-2002).
Sounds like the economy was going great up there too.
A stronger economy always generates more tax revenue.
Every time a dollar moves it gets taxed and the gov’t gets a cut. Nothing magical about that, simple economics.
As a Democrat, Anne Kilkenny should be ecstatic that "the government" is raking in more money.

She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a regressive sales tax which taxed even food.
Progressive and regressive are Liberal code words for pro and con.
Some they liked, some they didn’t, but they can’t simply say that.
Out of the real fear that their positions will be ridiculed, they have to make it sound like they are acting on some greater "wisdom"…

The tax cuts that she promoted benefited large corporate property owners way more than they benefited residents.
Here’s where I puncture a Liberal myth.
If you give a 2% tax cut to somebody making $50,000 a year, and the same to a corporation with profits in the millions, who gets the biggest tax “break” when the math is done?
Is there something unfair about that?
If anybody thinks the “rich” should pay more simply because they can afford it, they are suffering from the derangement of envy and class warfare. Those with money spend it. They keep all the stores and restaurants open, buy new cars, take vacations, and employ other people either directly or through their spending.
What does somebody making $15,000 a year contribute?

The huge increases in tax revenues during her mayoral administration weren’t enough to fund everything on her wish list though, borrowed money was needed, too. She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it with indebtedness of over $22 million.
I’ll wait for the facts on this on. Democrats, like Anne Kilkenny, and their spiteful slant don’t convince me of any wrong-doing.

What did Mayor Palin encourage the voters to borrow money for? Was it the infrastructure that she said she supported?
The sewage treatment plant that the city lacked?
Or a new library? No.
Again, a little fact-finding destroys a myth.
She was working to get federal money for sewage repairs. She opposed a bigger library.
In this day and age of the internet, is it wise to spend tax money on what many younger people consider a relic of bygone years?
With a computer within easy reach of most people, information is now simply a click away.

$1m for a park. $15m-plus for construction of a multi-use sports complex which she rushed through to build on a piece of property that the City didn’t even have clear title to, that was still in litigation 7 yrs later–to the delight of the lawyers involved!
The same lawyers that love to make money?
I personally would never spend tax money on a sports complex, but it happens every day in every state.
She cut property taxes by 40% then raised the city sales tax to pay for the Wasilla Multi-Use Sports Complex - voters wanted it!
I like that concept, it's a tax on consumption. Everybody pays slightly as they are spending money anyway, it's almost painless.
Rest assured, she would never have proceeded with the knowledge there would be an eminent domain lawsuit.

The sports complex itself is a nice addition to the community but a huge money pit, not the profit-generator she claimed it
would be.

Short of a major league stadium, I’ve yet to see one generate anything near the tax revenue it takes to pay for itself, and I would love to see her claims otherwise. Rather, this should be considered a quality of life issue for the residents of Wasilla, an improvement for all to use.
Liberals and Democrats will only dump money into special-use projects that nobody wants and will never be used.

She also supported bonds for $5.5m for road projects that could have been done in 5-7 yrs without any borrowing.
I don’t like bonds or borrowing either, but what are the facts driving this?
I found one, she was seeking federal money again.

While Mayor, City Hall was extensively remodeled and her office redecorated more than once.
So, twice?
Okay. How MUCH did it cost?
Did she just bring some stuff from home, or buy some trinkets and doo-dads from (gasp!) Wal-Mart?

These are small numbers, but Wasilla is a very small city.
As an oil producer, the high price of oil has created a budget surplus in Alaska. Rather than invest this surplus in technology that will make us energy independent and increase efficiency,

Another Liberal myth explodes right here.
What technology? What efficiencies? HOW will we be energy independent? This is right out of the "How To Be A Liberal" playbook.
The ONLY thing the Liberals are going to accomplish is piss away hundreds of billions of tax dollars chasing pipe dreams.
They are unwilling to do anything realistic, like build new nuclear power plants.
Why are we generating only 20% of our electricity with neutrons when France is approaching 80%? This would divert much of our fossil resources to vehicles, since they don’t run on coal or nuclear power. Another glorious Liberal moron, Jimmy Carter, is the reason we are not allowed nuclear fuel reprocessing while North Korea and Iran are giving the entire world the one-finger nuclear salute.
France, Germany, Russia and Japan reprocess all the nuclear fuel they need, while our spent fuel is sitting scattered all over the nation.
The Department of Energy was to handle all spent fuel in the US, it now sits scattered accross the nation at rate and tax payer expense.

The Global Warming Cult has denied us the ability to build a refinery in the United States for more than thirty years, so what would we do with more oil – imported or produced domestically? There's no refining capacity to be found in plants already running at rates several times their initial design limitations. Fires and explosions are common, and gas prices jump every time another one is reported by the media.

They hate coal though it has produced 50% of our electricity for decades, and we have enough to last 250 years with current technology.
Coal can be burned cleanly, but the equipment required to pull it off is expensive and requires huge maintenance efforts.
Those costs show up on your monthly electric bill. It will continue to rise as long as there are more hurdles thrown at coal.

Natural gas is as clean burning and environmentally friendly as a fuel can be, but it releases CO2. Suddenly the cleanest fuel we have has become a bad actor. Gas is a fact of life, we will ALWAYS need it on our grid because it is the only generating source that can be ramped up or down quickly to meet the daily dynamic swings in our usage.

Windmills are ugly, kill birds, and have to be built in somebody else’s back yard. Have you ever heard the noise they make? Not soothing...
Once those hurdles are clear, what would a million windmills produce on a calm day?

Solar power is a great idea for peak demand, but the current yield is modest. It will NOT power a water well or run an AC unit unless you have acres of them, and this is ignoring the environmental impact of all the heavy metals used in their manufacture.
Think about all the mining, smelting, refining, and manufacturing required, and the energy required every step of the way.
And how do you dispose of old, damaged, or obsolete solar panels containing said heavy metals?

So, what "technology that will make us energy independent and increase efficiency" does Anne Kilkenny have in mind? Or Obama?
Funny how there are never any facts or actual costs included in their speeches - because they don't exist outside their dreamworld.

as Governor she proposed distribution of this surplus to every individual in the state.
What? Who would be against a big gov’t handout? Democrats, that's who.
Why would the government give moneyback to the citizens to spend as they see fit? Because it is NOT the government's money!
Only the Liberals and Democrats truly believe they should spend your money for you. They're smart and they know what's good for you.

Another newsflash – Alaska has been distributing oil revenues to every citizen of the state for years.
They pay you to live there. Really.

In this time of record state revenues and budget surpluses, she recommended that the state borrow/bond for road projects, even while she proposed distribution of surplus state revenues: spend today’s surplus, borrow for needs.
What would a Democrat do? Have you listened to Obama speak?
Road projects take years to complete, rarely are they funded up front. Money borrowed can be paid back with smaller dollars in the future. If a road costs $100 million, if you wait 7 years it may cost $140 million. Borrow the funds and pay it back with uninflated dollars before it’s completed. Amazing concept, used nationally to great effect.

She’s not very tolerant of divergent opinions or open to outside ideas or compromise.
Maybe she has values, core convictions?
If you know in your heart what you're doing is right and just, isn't that the guidance you follow?
Sure it is.
As any good leader would tell you, you listen to all the advice and input and, after weighing it carefully, YOU make a decision.

My personal definition of a compromise? Nobody gets what they wanted. Why would I just throw out everything I know and simply give in?
If voters put you in office, why would they want a fickle, wishy-washy leader influenced by a piece of candy or any other indulgent temptation?
There seems to be less value than ever placed on a leader who will do what he says and say what he means

As Mayor, she fought ideas that weren’t generated by her or her staff.
Ideas weren’t evaluated on their merits, but on the basis of who proposed them.
Prove it. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
Maybe the unspoken truth in her tabloid accusations is that Democrtas like Anne Kilkenny were capable of only hare-brained ideas.

While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin’s attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the Librarian are on her enemies list to this day.
Without the facts, how can a judgment be made here?
One juicy tidbit of information I found stated that there were policies in place against speaking to the media without Palin's approval.
There were other department heads aside from the Librarian who ran afoul of this policy.
Palin dismissed them because they "did not support her administration" and were likely using the media to air their grievances. Good.

What were the books? Did they offend the sensibilities of responsible parents?
Maybe she did the RIGHT thing.
There are some books that do NOT need to be in a public library, certainly not within easy reach of children without parental discretion.

Sarah complained about the “old boy’s club” when she first ran for Mayor, so what did she bring Wasilla? A new set of “old boys”. Palin fired most of the experienced staff she inherited.
This happens EVERY TIME a new person comes into office.
Remember the uproar when Bush fired 7 government attornies? He has the choice to retain them or not.
Clinton cut more than 90 of the same lawyers when he took office, but nobody seems to remember that!

If I was elected mayor, and I inherited dead weight or career slackers, I’d can them too.
If there were people in my office who were opposing the things I was elected to do, and offering no help or support, why would I waste taxpayer money to employ them?

At the City and as Governor she hired or elevated new, inexperienced, obscure people, creating a staff totally dependent on her for their jobs and eternally grateful and fiercely loyal–loyal to the point of abusing their power to further her personal agenda,
Sounds like some Democrats didn’t get the job they thought they deserved…
Who would you hire?
I wouldn't hire people I couldn't depend on, with no gratitude or goodwill toward me, and no loyalty or intent to perform their duties.
They need to do their job or they need to go!

as she has acknowledged happened in the case of pressuring the State’s top cop (see below).

As Mayor, Sarah fired Wasilla’s Police Chief because he “intimidated” her, she told the press. As Governor, her recent firing of Alaska’s top cop has the ring of familiarity about it. He served at her pleasure and she had every legal right to fire him, but it’s pretty clear that an important factor in her decision to fire him was because he wouldn’t fire her sister’s ex-husband, a State Trooper.
This is too easy. Anne Kilkenny's own words "He served at her pleasure and she had every legal right to fire him" should be enough.
Why did she feel the need to fire him? What did she find out about him?
Remember how small the population of Alaska is?
I would think that all those circles of friends overlap quite a bit in such a small pond.
This is being scrutinized under the Liberal microscope, they have yet to produce anything unsavory.
Here's something the Democrats absolutely cannot get into their heads - maybe she was RIGHT!

Under investigation for abuse of power, she has had to admit that more than 2 dozen contacts were made between her staff and family to the person that she later fired, pressuring him to fire her ex-brother-in-law.
Again, these people probably run into each other on the street.
What constitutes a “contact” for the purposes of this discussion?

The tabloid tactics are again in play.

She tried to replace the man she fired with a man who she knew had been reprimanded for sexual harassment; when this caused a public furor, she withdrew her support.
Okay, instead of tabloid accusations, lets hear the facts involved to see if they are valid.

She has bitten the hand of every person who extended theirs to her in help. The City Council person who personally escorted her around town introducing her to voters when she first ran for Wasilla City Council became one of her first targets when she was later elected Mayor. She abruptly fired her loyal City Administrator; even people who didn’t like the guy were stunned by this ruthlessness. Fear of retribution has kept all of these people from saying anything publicly about her.
Fear-mongering, gossip, allegations, innuendo - all unfounded?
Again, I think somebody has an axe to grind and is omitting the related facts. Could it be..... the Democrats?

When then-Governor Murkowski was handing out political plums, Sarah got the best, Chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission: one of the few jobs not in Juneau and one of the best paid. She had no background in oil & gas issues. Within months of scoring this great job which paid $122,400/yr, she was complaining in the press about the high salary.
Complaining because it was too high? What are the facts here?

I was told that she hated that job: the commute, the structured hours, the work.
Really? You were told by whom? Hearsay, rumor and innuendo.
She hated to work? With her ambition, I doubt this
. Gossip is not a tool of endearment, Anne.

Sarah became aware that a member of this Commission (who was also the State Chair of the Republican Party) engaged in unethical behavior on the job. In a gutsy move which some undoubtedly cautioned her could be political suicide, Sarah solved all her problems in one fell swoop: got out of the job she hated and garnered gobs of media attention as the patron saint of ethics and as a gutsy fighter against the “old boys’ club” when she dramatically quit, exposing this man’s ethics violations (for which he was fined).
BRAVO!!! That’s exactly what she should have done.
Of course, the skewed moral compass of every ethics-challenged Democrat finds a way to cast aspersions at anything THEY can't do.

As Mayor, she had her hand stuck out as far as anyone for pork from Senator Ted Stevens. Lately, she has castigated his pork-barrel politics and publicly humiliated him. She only opposed the “bridge to nowhere” after it became clear that it would be unwise not to.
I think it became clear to everybody when they found out the scope, cost, and relative worth of the project.
Another fact conveniently left out by Anne Kilkenny;  Alaska took that money - and used it for other projects with the blessing of the feds.
She was dipping into the earmarks from Washington DC, that much is true. She quickly gained a bigger picture and now opposes them.

As Governor, she gave the Legislature no direction and budget guidelines, then made a big grandstand display of line-item vetoing projects, calling them pork.
Anne, this is nothing more than pathetic political posturing.
A legislative assembly with no clue of the positions of the Governor is impossible, especially in this day and age.
They will play to the media for sympathy so voters are not angered by their actions, and plead the 5th so they don't look like fools.
With line-item veto, gov’t waste can be eliminated almost entirely in appropriations.
One of my dreams is to see the President of the United States of America have the power of line-item veto to save us from Congress.

Public outcry and further legislative action restored most of these projects – which had been vetoed simply because she was not aware of their importance – but with the unobservant she had gained a reputation as “anti-pork”.
This is normal, the legislative and executive branches of government are designed to coexist (with the judiciary) in exactly this fashion.
Dare I say that government worked for once?

She is solidly Republican: no political maverick. The State Party leaders hate her because she has bit them in the back and humiliated them. Other members of the party object to her self-description as a fiscal conservative.
Which party leaders hate her? The Democratic party? Good job Sarah! The Republican party? Maybe they should get on board.
I would consider any candidate "solidly Republican" a good bet.
One of my criticisms of John McCain (and I have many) is that he played the bipartisan card every time he thought the Republicans had scorned him. After he lost the 2000 nomination to Bush, he went immediately to the Left and was flinging sh!t at his own party with Democratic leaders Dick Gephardt and Tom Daschle at his side - smiling broadly the entire time. That's NOT what I cast my vote for.
Jeez, I’m sure there are party members who object to Sarah's hair color…

Around Wasilla there are people who went to high school with Sarah. They call her “Sarah Barracuda” because of her unbridled ambition and predatory ruthlessness. Before she became so powerful, very ugly stories circulated around town about shenanigans she pulled to be made point guard on the high school basketball team.
I don’t view this as a bad thing. She’s ambitious and makes things happen.
Think back to your high school days.
Would there be anybody who could say, well, pretty much nothing about you, and make it sound less than warm and complimentary?

When Sarah’s mother-in-law, a highly respected member of the community and experienced manager, ran for Mayor, Sarah refused to endorse her.
In 2002, term limits prevented Palin from running for a third term as mayor.
Her stepmother-in-law, Faye Palin, ran for the office but lost the election to Dianne Keller after Sarah Palin endorsed Keller.
Why doesn't Anne Kilkenny tell us any of the facts about this? After all, she was at all of the Wasilla City Council meetings....

As Governor, she stepped outside of the box and put together of package of legislation known as “AGIA” that forced the oil companies to march to the beat of her drum.
With the trendy hatred of “Big Oil” I think she would be applauded. Isn't that every Liberal's dream - to stick it to those "evil" oil companies?
She did it for a different reason.
She was actually working for the best interests of the people and the environment, and taxing a HUGE revenue stream without killing it.
Left to their own devices, the Democrats will kill any goose suspected of laying a golden egg.

Like most Alaskans, she favors drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Anybody with a brain would if they understood anything about it.
Most people don't bother with ANY of the facts - because you can't get them from the Global Warming/EnviroNazi crowd or on CNN.

She has questioned if the loss of sea ice is linked to global warming.
Same here.
There are still millions of us in the United States who call such events weather.
There are few facts in this new Cult of Global Warming, and those few are quickly discarded in favor of their own proprietary "science."

She campaigned “as a private citizen” against a state initiative that would have either
a) protected salmon streams from pollution from mines, or
b) tied up in the courts all mining in the state
(depending on who you listen to).

I choose not to listen to tree-hugging, green-weenie, enviro-Nazi types who would cripple every business in the world if they could.
In any terrain – especially mountains – every rain drop quickly makes its way to a stream. That drop of rain will carry anything with it.
So if a tree-hugging, Birkenstock-wearing hiker pisses in the woods, he’s polluting our lakes and streams.
Am I wrong?
Don’t get me started about a bear that sh!ts in the woods….

She has pushed the State’s lawsuit against the Dept. of the Interior’s decision to list polar bears as threatened species.
Nobody, aside from environmental activist groups and friends of Al (Pluto - 'cause he's out there) Gore, saw a need for it.
I would urge you to look again at the Department of Interior’s position on this.

McCain is the oldest person to ever run for President;
Sarah will be a heartbeat away from being President.

Oooohhhh…. Scary!
Does anybody remember John Edwards?
How about career political moron Joe Biden?
No thanks.

I’ll take the Barracuda as Second In Command to the Maverick any day!

There has to be literally millions of Americans who are more knowledgeable and experienced than she.
That’s a list I would like to see if it was generated by Anne Kilkenny.
She's a bitter, jealous, Democrat with the selfish "me too!" attitude of a 13 year old girl, set to destroy those who she fears don't like her.
On my list, Palin is definitely shaping up to be the new number one.
Condoleezza Rice has some serious competition since Labor Day weekend of 2008!

However, there’s a lot of people who have underestimated her and are regretting it.
How many is “a lot of people” and are they bitter, bickering Democrats?
How would that number compare to the thousands of careers and dozens of lives ended by the Clintons and their subterfuge?

 CLAIM VS FACT

•“Hockey mom”: true for a few years
- Okay.

•“PTA mom”: true years ago when her first-born was in elementary school, not since
- Okay.

•“NRA supporter”: absolutely true
– Whoo Hoo!!!! Join the NRA to protect your 2nd Amendment Rights, because Obama and the Democrats damned sure won't.

•social conservative: mixed. Opposes gay marriage, BUT vetoed a bill that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships (said she did this because it was unconstitutional).
– I agree, it IS unconstitutional. I hate gay marriage, I'll oppose it until I die, but the Constitution should be left out of this. States can decide.

•pro-creationism: mixed. Supports it, BUT did nothing as Governor to promote it.
– Wait, how long was she Governor? If there was no legislation on her desk, was she supposed to draft it herself?

•“Pro-life”: mixed.
Knowingly gave birth to a Down’s syndrome baby BUT declined to call a special legislative session on some pro-life legislation

– What are the facts, why was there a need for a special legislative session? I'm pretty happy when the legislature is NOT in session!

•“Experienced”: Some high schools have more students than Wasilla has residents.
Many cities have more residents than the state of Alaska.
- A geographical statement of fact. True.
So, I can logically assume that Anne Kilkenny - whiny Democrat City Council member - suffers from this same lack of experience?

•No legislative experience other than City Council. Little hands-on supervisory or managerial experience; needed help of a city administrator to run town of about 5,000.
- Again, the supposition that no other town in America has an administrator - a normal practice.

•political maverick: not at all
- Oh, I think so…..  Look at the Liberals and Democrats quaking in their boots?
Since they rail against disposable diapers, I have to wonder... do Liberals wear Depends?

•gutsy: absolutely!
- Absolutely! Let's see what happens to Depends sales in heavily Democratic regions.

•open & transparent: ??? Good at keeping secrets. Not good at explaining actions.
- Scary! More bullsh!t and mudslinging. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume Anne Kilkenny suffers from the same Democrat dementia that renders most of them unable to understand anything that doesn't fit their template of the Liberal World.

•has a developed philosophy of public policy: no
- Sounds good to me. Take a position and make a stand!

•”a Greenie”: no. Turned Wasilla into a wasteland of big box stores and disconnected parking lots.
- Like the administrator thing, no other town in the US has seen this? I heard she shops at Costco - and pumps her own gas!

•Is pro-drilling off-shore and in ANWR.
- Proves she has a brain and is unwilling to cripple her own country! That's reserved as the proud hallmark and specialty of the Left.

•fiscal conservative: not by my definition!
- Funny, I have yet to decipher the Anne Kilkenny definition of anything beyond simple partisan business as usual.

•pro-infrastructure: No. Promoted a sports complex and park in a city without a sewage treatment plant or storm drainage system.
Built streets to early 20th century standards.
- Are those standards the legal, accepted and prevailing standards? That’s settled.

•pro-tax relief: Lowered taxes for businesses, increased tax burden on residents
- More Lefty class-warfare baiting with no facts behind it.
Here's a fact. She lowered taxes by 40% and increased the distribuition of oil revenue.

•pro-small government: No. Oversaw greatest expansion of city government in Wasilla’s history.
- During a booming economy, these things happen. Tragic.
Anne Kilkenny is very proud for sure. The Democrats are doing everything they can to destroy our national economy.

•pro-labor/pro-union. No. Just because her husband works union doesn’t make her pro-labor. I have seen nothing to support any claim that she is pro-labor/pro-union.
- This is not a bad thing.
As President, I would be a union-busting monster.
Don't get me wrong, if a union is benevolent and helps its members I'm fine with them. In reality, they are rarely so benign.
Democratic  political activism and the crippling of essential industries should be dealt with swiftly and surely through federal prosecution.

 WHY AM I WRITING THIS?
- We're pretty much able to see your motivation Anne...

First, I have long believed in the importance of being an informed voter. I am a voter registrar. For 10 years I put on student voting programs in the schools. If you google my name (Anne Kilkenny + Alaska), you will find references to my participation in local government, education, and PTA/parent organizations.

Secondly, I’ve always operated in the belief that “Bad things happen when good people stay silent”.
Few people know as much as I do because few have gone to as many City Council meetings.

Third, I am just a housewife. I don’t have a job she can bump me out of. I don’t belong to any organization that she can hurt.
But, I am no fool; she is immensely popular here, and it is likely that this will cost me somehow in the future: that’s life.

Fourth, she has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100 or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian against Sarah’s attempt at censorship.

Fifth, I looked around and realized that everybody else was afraid to say anything because they were somehow vulnerable.
- That's right Anne, tell everybody to ignore all the facts and just listen to you....

 CAVEATS;
- I call this the weasel clause, make any accusation - no matter how far-fetched or idiotic - then weasel out of any responsibility.
Rush Limbaugh calls them the drive-by media.
You can still reduce it to the lowest common denominator and simply dismiss it as National Enquirer-style tabloid attacks.

I am not a statistician. I developed the numbers for the increase in spending & taxation 2 years ago (when Palin was running for Governor) from information supplied to me by the Finance Director of the City of Wasilla, and I can’t recall exactly what I adjusted for:
did I adjust for inflation?
for population increases?
Right now, it is impossible for a private person to get any info out of City Hall–they are swamped. So I can’t verify my numbers.

You may have noticed that there are various numbers circulating for the population of Wasilla, ranging from my “about 5,000″, up to 9,000. The day Palin’s selection was announced a city official told me that the current population is about 7,000. The official 2000 census count was 5,460. I have used about 5,000 because Palin was Mayor from 1996 to 2002, and the city was growing rapidly in the mid-90’s.

Note;
I'm getting conflicting information from the websites I searched.
According to the Wasilla, Alaska website, Anne Kilkenny is NOT a council member.
Maybe she was in the past?

http://www.cityofwasilla.com/index.aspx?page=55

No.
I talked on the phone to Marilyn Frankel, head of Human Resources at the City of Wasilla.
(No relation to Al Franken)
She said Anne Kilkenny was never on the payroll there, and furthermore she never heard of her.
Anne Kilkenny appears to be simply as I have described her, no more.

Marilyn told me a personal story while I was on the phone with her.
She mentioned that Sarah Palin herself recommended she be hired for HR director.
The thing is, that's a position that had never existed in Wasilla.
Marilyn told Sarah she would be honored to work for her if they ever created the position, and they did.

Alright folks, after reading this for yourself, you can decide what you think of Anne Kilkenny.
I think it's best summed up as if she's telling us "I'm not saying... I'm just saying... you know what I mean?"

She will fling flaming left-handed sh!t balls at the greatest Republican hope this nation has seen since Ronald Reagan.
Then she'll slink away with her tail between her legs, ostensibly to seek the national favor and protection of the Liberals.
Anne Kilkenny is indeed a pathetic weasel.
Look at the bright side, the media now has one more oblivious fool they can manipulate to their ends - then discard them.
