PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL KEEP HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISES
There's gonna be some change in this nation alright, just wait....
Let's get one thing out of the way from the start, the Secret Service will have their work cut out for them now.
There's one cold hard truth among many this nation will be faced with as a consequence of an Obama presidency.
Now, in no way would I ever wish for harm to come his way.
In fact I think Bill Clinton should be the first in line if such extreme acts were ever to be visited upon any leaders of this nation. I choose to believe we are ALL above such machinations of ill will, but the idiots arrested in late October for plotting to kill Obama prove that in the human race there are some who should have never been in the gene pool - no matter how much chlorine was added.
Another cold, hard truth - some people just ain't no damned good.
There are two very large problems with anybody scheming to visit harm on our new President-elect.
Problem One is that Joe "Bozo" Biden is second in command - after 36 years as the Senate's version of a Court Jester and two brain aneurysms. (I've always said he wasn't right in the head....)
Problem Two is that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would succeed the two of them if Biden were to be unfit for office - and he is...
God help us all.
Let me emphatically state here that despite my personal feelings toward an Obama White House, his past associations and plan for MY future, I wish him the best of health and most Divine guidance in his daily challenges in that Great Office. He must succeed.
I hope and pray this sentiment is shared by all who read this.
The King Of Pomp?
Watching the election night media frenzy (with the media itself on camera) continue to expand and morph into some sort of Twilight Zone episode including a cast of millions, I'm surprised at just how many people of this nation are in a state of near hysteria now.
Breathless, tearful declarations and heart-wrenching testimonials from people of all walks of life - well, mostly Hollywood morons and "news" reporters - are hailing the election of Barack Obama as if it's the Beatles on Ed Sullivan all over again.
Folks, this ain't 1964. This isn't Elvis.
Then I had an epiphany;
Anybody old enough to remember the early eighties, and Michael Jackson on the new MTV, can testify how The Gloved One was in every speaker in America with Billy Jean. A couple years later he released his Thriller album and the World's Superstar was then subsequently crowned as the "King Of Pop."
Michael Jackson was inescapable, playing on every radio and TV station, in every elevator and doctor's office, making white suburban kids act like fools while they struggled to develop some rhythm and a sense of soul to get all the moves down.
No matter what Jackson did, people swooned and fainted in his aura.
No matter how far out, freaky, tasteless, tactless, or simply stupid his actions were, millions across the nation and around the world were smitten to the extent they no longer cared what anybody thought of them. His spending habits are legendary, and he endeavored to create his very own Utopian world and make himself the center of it all.
Money meant nothing to him, because more would always come tomorrow.
Anybody failing to acknowledge and validate the SuperStardom of Michael Jackson was considered terminally uncool....
I look at the world of 2008 and the people from all races and walks of life making complete and utter fools of themselves and think;
My God, I think we've just elected Michael Jackson.
Neverland Ranch comes to D.C.

Shiny New Car
I'm now face to face with the realization that this country is no longer mine, at least not in a literal sense.
I feel as if I lost my comfortable, trusty old car to some horrible crushing fate, and in the whirling haze of it all I signed on the dotted line for a nice shiny new one with all the bells and whistles - except that it's on a lease and doesn't really belong to me.
Oh I'm paying for it alright, but there's another name on the title representing people I do not know, or ever even met. These people may remain unseen by anybody but me, but violating the terms of my lease in any way means I pay in a big way. I have no recourse if I go over on my allotted mileage or make any modifications to the car for my pleasure or tastes.
If I complain I will be referred to the fine print in the contract I signed, no court of law will even hear my grievance.
The car must be returned to "them" in exactly the same condition I received it with less than 36,000 miles on it within a specific period of time or else I pay dearly - case closed.
I never thought leasing a car was a good idea, at least not for me. Now I feel as if my protests to all who could hear me are in vain, and they've all gone on with their lives while I'm the proud owner (sort of) of a brand new, slick and shiny Obama-Mobile.
Guess I better learn to like it, because I'm stuck with it for the next 48 months.
Even if I decide to hide it in the garage and use it for storage, I will still be liable for the payments - and the fear I cannot afford them.
Wake up America!
The party is over, we're gonna have one helluva hangover for at least the next four years. It will cost wage-earners/taxpayers dearly.
Now that Obama's President, I don't have to worry about gas, my mortgage...
This disturbing sentiment was expressed by a woman named Peggy Joseph.
Columnist Michelle Malkin refers to her as Peggy the Moocher.
Fox News played a video clip of this black woman after she saw Obama give a speech in Sarasota, Florida and she was struggling to find the words to express the awe she felt in his presence. Quoting her directly, I can easily decipher the intent behind those words;
"It was the most memorable time of my life. It was a touching moment, because I never thought this day would happen.
I won't have to worry about putting gas in my car. I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage.
You know, if I help him, he’s gonna help me!"
I cannot fully express the disbelief and anger that shot immediately through my veins without an embarrassing burst of profanity.
Peggy the Moocher would do well to consider a favorite quote of mine. These are the ominous words of Scottish jurist and historian, Sir Alexander Fraser Tytler, as he warned of the natural rise and fall of every democracy;
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."
Furthermore, Tytler adds;
"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through this sequence; from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependency back again into bondage."
Those words were uttered over 200 years ago, and I've yet to see any promise of "change" from Obama that doesn't fall directly in this trap.
My father, still a shrewd political man now in his seventies, made an observation on election night that I thought summed it up nicely.
He said "The blacks of this nation think they got themselves a Black President, but they don't. They got a Muslim half-breed.
They got a REAL African-American from a real (global) world very few of them can understand."
Now, Michelle Obama is a black woman, but not a Black Woman in the pop-culture/ghetto street cred sense.
She's an educated, quasi-militant intellectual who will go to Washington D.C. and create a new social circle with a pecking order and hierarchy never before seen. She will associate with people few in America could ever hope to exchange cell phone numbers with, as new First Ladies always have, but there's a difference here.
Michelle Obama will blaze new trails that the most vacuous die-hard Obama supporters could never foresee;
She will have much to prove to the world in order to assure her substantial education and sophistication are not sold short.
She will strive harder than any First Lady in modern times - maybe ever - to legitimize her role next to the most powerful man in the world and to compliment him in all his efforts. She will leave blacks like Peggy the Moocher out in the cold.
This is another cold hard truth that has been accepted and acknowledged by American women since Martha Washington, but until November 4th, 2008 there were never any Black Women clamoring to possess the First Lady with such rabid fervor.
Blacks in America are in for a hangover of their own when they realize they got no invitatons for the Obama house warming party.
