The era of the Great American Melting Pot is over. Forever.
Oh, the self-loathing, America-hating Liberals will tell you different - so will the media, and even the Catholic Church.
Our government, in their usual fashion, has spent billions of dollars and accomplished exactly what they are so good at – nothing.
I would welcome legal immigrants from almost any country in the world as long as there is a legitimate paper trail behind them and they stay in contact with INS as they should while in the country. If they disappear, hunt them down like a criminal (as they may well be) and deport them NOW, never to return. People on probation for petty shoplifting have to stay clean and do as their probation officer asks, so why can’t we expect at least this much from people wanting to gain citizenship?
If they won’t obey the law to become a citizen, what will they do when nobody is watching them anymore?

Consider this if you will;
A famous bank robber was once asked by a reporter why he robbed banks.
“That’s where the money is” was his simple reply. Very profound.
Maybe he has a family to feed. Maybe he just can’t make ends meet where he lives. Maybe he faces looming medical problems for his loved ones. He wants a better life and simply going where the money is makes sense. Okay, so he’s taking a short cut or two on the road of life but he means well. Can you really blame him? If nobody gets hurt, is bank robbery really a crime we should punish so severely? If we didn’t bother to arrest any bank robbers, except for the occasional televised take down for local politicians like Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona to accept the credit, do you think the rate of bank heists in our country might increase?

Say one hundred banks a day get cleaned out nationwide and law enforcement only makes an arrest in two of them.
This might be a good thing for our country. Politicians have a hot button campaign issue to get their constituents mobilized and opposing parties can crow about how their plan will work after the election. Big insurance companies and the government are covering losses for the banks so they have no worries about going out of business. FDIC covers my accounts so MY money isn’t being stolen. Why should I worry? The economy will keep growing with the massive influx of cash since all the loot is gonna be spent in a frenzy by the perpetrators.
(What, did you think a crook would be an investor?)
Law enforcement entities will continue to get larger budgets to “combat the problem” thanks to all those politicians promises. Is anybody really getting hurt here?

Silly me, I’ve been following in my parents footsteps all these years and carrying the economic burden for all the slackers, criminals and illegals in addition to the elderly and truly needy. Heck, next time I need medical care for a sore throat or hangnail I’ll go camp out in my local level three trauma center and play the games keeping them from doing their jobs for those in dire need. I don’t need no stinking insurance and won’t have to pay for anything if I can swallow my pride and hang out long enough for somebody to “help” me.

I can buy a worn-out/junked/salvaged/stolen car and drive it in a clueless fashion on any street in America with no insurance.
If I cause a wreck I’ll just jump out and run like hell. If they run my plates, they’ll find they’re stolen, registered to some other address.

Child care? This country offers the best in the world and it’s free. It's called public schools. Just put my kids in school so they can be given the utmost care, fed better than I could ever do and any medical concerns will be taken care of. They will be taught the accepted International Language and maybe I can learn a little from them.
And to think the price for all this is unbeatable in any other country on the globe. It’s free!

Liberals want to make everything so gray and fuzzy, so why don’t we just give up on enforcing all these silly laws? If I don’t pay a parking ticket, I won’t have to worry about getting thrown in jail, losing my job, pilots license and weapons permit or foreclosure on my home and repossession of my truck due to financial losses that accompany even a minor scrape with the law for a middle class blue-collar Joe.


The 14th Amendment Has Been Lost In The Socialist Bureaucracy
There are five sections to the 14th Amendment, only the first has anything to do with being born on American soil.
It reads as follows;

1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Being born on our soil makes you a citizen from your first breath.
That should never change, but if your mother got here illegally, she goes home like everybody else.
As much as I would like to toss out every border baby born to an illegal mother, the Amendment clearly states this is not allowed.
On the other hand, if your mother truly wants opportunity for you, she can leave you here and go home alone. There are no extended or conditional provisions in the law applying to family members, no preference is suggested for them, and nothing in the entire Amendment even mentions it.
Case closed.

You can be adopted by one of thousands of affluent American couples unable to bear their own children. They spend millions every year in pursuit of a baby. Think of the economic, educational and social advantages before you. You can avoid the whole ‘hood/slum/barrio thing and become a contributing member of society after you graduate from college. You too could give up 45% of every dollar you make to feed the governments’ crusade to limit more of your rights and curtail your personal freedom.
This would eliminate a huge incentive to enter the U.S. on the sly.
We have to eliminate the insane number of “border births” that are bleeding our hospitals out of business and robbing social programs of their ability to help OUR people get on their feet. Some estimates are well in excess of 300,000 babies born in the U.S. to illegal mothers. Enforcing the law without fail is a must.

If all of this is too complicated or unsavory for an illegal mother mother to decide on, there's always another option.
Take your baby home with you to Mexico or Central America. There are no U.S. federal laws to prevent it.
You're free to go - and avoid prosecution, detention and deportation.


Make It A Two-Way Street
Mexico has very strict laws against foreigners owning property there. They could use the investment of tourism and resort companies in the U.S., but even more lucrative would be private ownership of vacation homes. The local economic benefits are manifold. Families could remain intact in a society that still prizes traditional homes with the breadwinner/caregiver partnership.
If opportunity was in your neighborhood instead of a foreign country, you would stay with your family, right? Coastal property, with its high intrinsic value, is off limits to direct foreign ownership and the list of hurdles goes on and on. This needs to change.

A reciprocal agreement should be in place between the U.S. and foreign governments before any of their citizens are permitted ownership rights in our country. There’s nothing unfair about that.
Illegals deported from the U.S. should be allowed to sell their property ONLY to legal American citizens. Failure to do so in a short specific period of time should result in seizure and disposal at auction. If this seems extreme, remember that Mexico is much less kind to property owners in their own country, let alone outside owners. Many governments can (and will) take your property if the mood strikes them.


Borders
Close them now.
Put in walls, moats with alligators, machine gun nests, barbed wire, anything to completely stop the flow of illegals once and for all. And remember, Mexico is not the only border we have. Canada should get the same treatment.

I could foresee official border crossings with neon lights, welcome signs and a big red carpet. Think of it as a big 24/7 bus station with plenty of benches and restrooms, kept clean and well staffed by people who know what the hell they're doing.
If you don't like that and try to go around the official entry you just might find a land mine, so give the legal way a shot.
This might be a good time to add that drug smugglers would finally be put out of business too, as a happy side effect.

Make these border entry points function as they are needed - a place to get all your paperwork squared away before you pass through the turnstiles. If you have the proper legal credentials that are known not to be forged and agree to obey ALL of our laws, come on in.
If there's a problem with your status and the Mexican government cannot clarify the situation, you should return across the border.
To err on the side of caution, you absolutely should not be allowed to remain in the U.S. while any legal matters concerning your status are sorted out. You should enter only when all issues are resolved. 

The notion of the corrupt Mexican government assisting from their side of the border is thought to be laughable, if not impossible.
If they want to continue receiving billions of dollars in revenue sent home by Mexicans working in the US (second only to their oil revenue) they should step up to the plate. Every one of the billions of dollars spent by the US government on an illegal Mexican is one more dollar the Mexican gov't gets to keep for themselves. It's a pretty slick and lucrative racket for a government built on rackets.
If they refuse to help their citizens cross the border and act as dollar-thirsty leeches on the American taxpayers, they can then cope with the humanitarian tragedy created by a CLOSED American border. Maybe they can call the United Nations to come help them out. 

I believe that most Mexican immigrants are honest, hard-working people and have no ulterior motive for entering the United States. That being said, I firmly believe that the probationary period of being on a visa before gaining citizenship is exactly that - probation.
One minor screw up because of a misunderstanding might even be tolerated. If you think you’re above the law once you’re here and so much as ignore a parking ticket you should be flown, at your governments expense, to your nations capitol. Just dropping illegals off at the border is a joke. If foreign governments agree to this beforehand and then back out on the deal, your papers should be shredded when you try to enter our country and you could start all over, along with every other immigrant from that nation.


Have A Little Fun With Homeland Security
Try this to illustrate a point; 
Fly into our country and, instead of waiting in customs to be cleared, jump the velvet ropes and run past security out the door.
Just imagine the scramble. The airport will be locked down, all available law enforcement will respond and the news cameras will be everywhere. Thousands of people and millions of dollars come to a screeching halt. Pandemonium will prevail. You will be in Federal custody if you get caught and the FBI will crawl up your butt with a microscope. It’s so much easier to take a little hike in the desert. You work on your tan and maybe take a short bus ride back to the border if you happen to get caught.
No problems because nobody cares.

A common liberal fear is that we might “militarize’ our borders. What a great idea! The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan may consume vast financial resources, but we still have to train our military. After basic training, we could ship our recruits to either border for training in various climates and terrain. Advanced weapons, aviation and machinery training could also take place there. We’re gonna spend the money and train our people anyway, let’s get more value from it.
People caught sneaking across the border could be put to work building the “Wall of America” until their government bails them out. Until then, they could work for some token wage of say, ten bucks a day and have a little jingle in their pocket when they finally do return to their country.

Before being labeled as a racist hater, I would like to pose another hypothetical situation.
If I found out that a cushy job was waiting for me in Canada with a fivefold increase in pay, insurance and benefits better than anybody in my nation offers, half the hours, majestic homes to choose from and beautiful streets paved with gold I’d be interested.
If the government there didn’t really care, citizens ignored me and the Mounties were restrained from arresting me, all I’d have to do is get there. Well, I could put on my insulated coveralls with my blaze orange hunting vest, go hunting and get “lost” accidentally in a remote area very near the Canadian border. If I happen to wander across the boundary of another sovereign nation, who really cares? If they catch me I’ll just play dumb, shrug my shoulders and smile a lot. If they haul me back over the border, I’ll apologize for all the trouble I caused and try again tomorrow.


I DO NOT BLAME MEXICANS FOR COMING TO THIS COUNTRY!
They can live so much better here no matter how they go about it. Work hard and you’ll prosper. Steal everything that isn’t bolted down, sell it and you’ll prosper. Get thrown in jail, eat better than ever in climate controlled comfort, learn all you can from your cellmates about committing crime and navigating a legal system that caters to you and upon release, you’ll prosper! Get your family up here for free medical care and education and they’ll prosper. Until their country is livable for more than the wealthy and connected, they will continue to act like rats jumping from a sinking ship. No matter how bad the barrio or colonia looks to us when we drive by, it still beats what they left back home. The Mexican government encourages and aids the emigration north to the U.S. since a substantial portion of the Mexican economy is the direct influx of American dollars and our currency is preferred over their peso.

By the way, I recently learned that Mexico has more billionaires than Switzerland. No kidding.
Mexico is blessed with  a vast array and generous amounts of natural resources, even more than we have in some cases.
The fact that they remain a Third World country in spite of this is nothing short of a travesty.  

 

Border Security - Mexican Style
Ironically, any attempt from Guatemala to cross over the southern border into Mexico will result in the immediate detention of all foolish enough to try. You will be greeted by American-made M-16’s in the hands of Mexican soldiers, and promptly deposited back over the border - if you are not imprisoned. The Mexican economy can’t support any more dead weight from poor immigrants and the humanitarian pleadings from Central America fall on deaf Mexican ears.
Seems they know just how to deal with the whole border security issue.

Back here in the good old USA, the blame lies squarely on our federal government. Don’t even think of blaming it on one political party, it pervades the entire Legislative/Judicial/Executive organization and trickles down to the states and cities. If you are one of the roughly 1 in 5 workers in this country employed at taxpayers expense in some form of government, and you are facilitating any aspect of this idiocy even by simply looking the other way, you are destroying this country one teardrop at a time.
If the federal government can’t control access to the most prosperous nation in the history of our world, how can they assure me that they can do ANYTHING ELSE?
