Gays and 15 year old girls - what do they have in common?
The Libertarian in me (not to be confused with liberal!) believes that whatever happens between consenting adults in the privacy of their home is their business. If nobody gets hurt or victimized and you behave as a responsible adult in our society, I don't care what you do behind closed doors.

Intolerance and hatred easily forms when one person's perceived lack of morals or respect gives offense to the sensibilities of others, but who’s the bad guy in that situation? I'll go so far as to opine that gays don't get beat up just because they're gay. Often it's because they behave in a manner offensive to those around them with no regard for decency.

Act stupid in the wrong company and you'll pay dearly. Redneck with a big hat walking in the 'hood? Better pick up the pace, avoid eye contact and keep your mouth shut. Oakland Raiders fan at a Dallas Cowboys game? Maybe you should wear something over your favorite jersey until you're safely out of the parking lot. This will ruffle a few feathers, but I will venture an opinion that society - and especially the gays - were better off when they were still in the closet. But no, many insist that they should be elevated above the rest of us and actually demand preferential treatment.
Get in a little scuffle in a bar parking lot after some clown door-dings your car and nobody gets seriously hurt. No big deal until the other guy tells the cops he's gay. You've just committed a hate crime.
Now he's a martyr and you're an inmate hoping to avoid prison sex.

AIDS is primarily a gay disease and no matter how much is spent on research for a cure, deviant and dangerous sexual behaviors keep the pace well ahead of our finest efforts. To hear the gay activists tell it, the efforts to save lives from all the other diseases should be ignored if they don't live long enough to suffer from them.

Hiring and employment decisions include considerations of "alternative" lifestyles. Most employers will not allow you to put your parents on your health insurance unless you can prove they are dependants. These are the very people from whom your life began and they're on their own. You can marry and add your spouse, even step children if you jump thru a few hoops. The easiest way to really take advantage of your health coverage is to add a "domestic partner" after signing an affidavit stating you are in a committed relationship with this person, regardless of their gender or sexual tendencies. They get access to coverage nobody in my family would qualify for simply because they choose to live in sin and commit sex acts I'd prefer not to think about.

The more gays push into the mainstream and demand acceptance, the more people like me are labeled as haters and homophobes simply because we don't buy into it. I'm not gonna attack anybody unless they pose a threat to my family or possessions, but I cannot condone sexual deviance.

I have an idea to illustrate how perverted this has become in the eyes of the general public. I want to gather a bunch of my blue collar friends together and have a parade. I want to make signs and banners to add a visual message to the chants we'll shout through the bullhorns and megaphones. Our message will be basically this; we like having sex with 15 year-old girls.
A lot.
I've done it at every opportunity and I want the whole world to know.
We'll have all the required permits to close streets and stop all traffic. We'll demonstrate legally and utilize a police escort so nobody gets hurt, since we may really offend some parents. Hey, this is a natural urge between a man and a young woman and you have no right to deny my impulses.

Now for a reality check.
Every man with a daughter would kill me at the drop of a hat. The cops would bury me under the jail. The courts would see that I never walked free again. My family would disavow my existence. And with all this, did I mention that most underage girls would call me a pervert and run screaming for the hills after emptying their pepper spray on me and calling 911 on their cell phone?

Here is how to reconcile this whole thing and make some sense of it. When I was 15 or 16, who do you think I was having sex with? Girls my age. When I was 18, I figured out that all those little cuties had just become time bombs, so I had sex with girls my age.
As I got older I knew that touching a minor would get me into so much trouble, I had no impulses toward them whatsoever. Society will not allow me to act on urges that are still accepted in some cultures and were the norm in ours only a few decades ago. To do so today would be STUPID and likely get your ass kicked. Stray too far from the conservative Christian principles this country was founded on and you'll find the only people supporting you outside of Hollywood are even more screwed up than you.
Well, unless you're gay. Then you're special.
